The Kia Carens Clavis EV is expected to be officially unveiled on 15 July 2025. Bookings for the all-new Kia Carens Clavis EV have already started for a token amount of ₹25,000. The first deliveries are expected after the official unveiling. The starting prices for the EV variant is between ₹15 to ₹20 lakhs (ex-showroom), while the petrol and diesel variants start from ₹11.5 lakhs.
Battery Options & Range
The Clavis EV will be offered with two battery pack options:
• 42 kWh battery – Provides a driving range of 390–400 km on a full charge.
• 51.4 kWh battery – Offers a longer range of 470–500 km.
Both variants will support AC and DC fast charging, similar to the Hyundai Creta EV.
Design & Exterior Highlights
The Kia Clavis comes with a fresh new design inspired by Kia’s global electric vehicle models. It features a closed front grille that gives it a modern electric look, along with triangle-shaped LED headlights connected by a full-width LED light bar. The new 17-inch silver-black alloy wheels have a unique star pattern, adding to its bold and futuristic appearance. With sharp styling and a strong road presence, the Clavis is available in a variety of colors including silver, blue, black, white, and grey.
Interior Design & Comfort Features:
The inside of the Kia Clavis EV is big, cool, and full of new technology. It has two big screens (both 12.3 inches)—one shows the car’s speed and one is for music, maps, and other things. There’s also a very long screen across the front that looks amazing. The car has a big sunroof on top, cool air seats in the front, and the driver’s seat can move with just a button. It plays music really well with 8 or 9 Bose speakers and has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You can even change the light color inside the car with 64 color options, and there’s a special air cleaner at the back of the front seat.

Kia is making the Clavis EV very safe with lots of smart safety features. It has 6 airbags to protect people in case of an accident. There’s a special 360-degree camera that shows everything around the car. The car also has Level 2 ADAS, which means it can help the driver in many ways—like keeping a safe distance from other cars (adaptive cruise control), staying in the right lane (lane keeping assist), and warning if a car is in your blind spot or coming from behind (blind spot and rear cross traffic alert).
The car has strong brakes on all wheels, ABS to stop the wheels from locking, and hill-start assist to help when going uphill. It also tells you if the tyres don’t have enough air with the tyre pressure monitor. People sitting in the back get rear AC vents to stay cool and special air cleaning tech to breathe clean air.
Variants & Engine Options (Non-EV):
Besides the electric version, the Kia Clavis will also come in 7 other versions that use petrol or diesel. These versions are named: HTE, HTE(O), HTK, HTK+, HTK+(O), HTX, and HTX+..
There will be three engine choices. One is a diesel engine that saves fuel and gives good power. The other two use petrol—one is a simple petrol engine, and the other is a turbo petrol engine that gives more speed and better performance.
You can choose different types of gearboxes too. Some cars will have manual gears, some will have automatic, and some will have a clutchless type called iMT.
